Limedrop A/W 08

Limedrop is a relatively new up and comer, especially for us Sydney siders, we took a keen eye to their wears during LMFF in Melbourne and their stuff was impressive on the runway.
Designer Nathan, one half of Melbourne based Limedrop (the other is Clea) was a fair nice chap.
Season profile:
Natural fibres create warmth, structure and drape and are brought to life with foil printed lycras and dance shine. The result is an electrifying battle of textures, colours and structure, baggy vs. tight, bright vs.muted, night vs.day, and sophisticated vs.kitsch.
Gone is the separation between women’s and men’s wear; button down shirts, anoraks, baggy pants, and funnel leg jeans equally suit both the sexes.
The strong mix of women’s, men’s, and unisex garments offers silhouettes that blend oversized and fitted shapes creating a relaxed yet stylised look. The Wooden Mirror Ball collection incites emotions of natural glamour and relaxed chic that can be worn day and night.
Fabrics vary from wool, cashmere, cotton and bamboo blends along side high performance lycras, perforated, textured and weathered foil finishes. Colours incorporate a palette of smoky ash, blue robin, red mahogany and mirror ball silver, gold and black shine.
Here are some key pieces which looked even better in real life.
