Bassike (Runway + Detailed shots)- Spring/Summer 2010/11 @ Rosemount Australian Fashion Week
The Bassike designers appeared to have taken a fairly literal interpretation of the summer season when designing this collection. The show was introduced with moving images of the ocean waves playing behind the runway, alongside music heavy with xylophones and harmonies. This relaxed mood was reflected also within the collection itself, the palette consisting of soft pastel colours combined with denims, “sailor” stripes, floral and crochet. The models’ hair was slicked back, drawing more of an emphasis on the pieces themselves, while the shoes were casual leather brogues, contributing further to the summery holiday-like feel of the show.
