Friedrich Gray (Runway + Detailed shots)– Spring/Summer 2010/11 @ Rosemount Australian Fashion Week

5 May 2010 | 2 Comments

The mood of the show could have been best described as sinister and dark, as is characteristic of Friedrich Gray. The runway was framed at the entrance with large reflective crystal-like structures, giving the illusion that the models were emerging from a kind of futuristic cave. Before any of the models had appeared, lights began to flash chaotically at the entrance in time with the grinding electronic music, which then continued to permeate the show. The palette of the collection revolved around blacks and whites, with sharp shapes resembling lightning bolts, leather bandages for sleeves and pants, tailored garments, draped jersey cotton, structural platform wedges and distressed leather boots.
